The Journey
My name is Charles Vaughn, and I believe that every great project starts with a single beat or a solo brushstroke. Based in the beautiful coastal community of Arroyo Grande, California, I’ve spent my life exploring the intersection of sound and color.
My journey began with a deep-seated love for music that couldn't be contained to just one instrument. From the rhythmic foundations of the drums and bass to the melodic versatility of the guitar, piano, and ukulele, I’ve spent years mastering the tools that allow stories to be told. Whether I'm performing a solo acoustic set at a local deli or producing high-energy tracks in FL Studio, my goal is always the same: to create an authentic connection with the audience.
More Than Just Music
While music is my primary language, my creativity doesn't stop at the edge of the stage. As a painter, I specialize in acrylic portraits and large-scale murals that capture the energy of my subjects. Just as I layer tracks in a recording, I layer textures and colors on canvas to bring a vision to life. This dual passion for the visual and the auditory allows me to approach every creative challenge with a unique, 360-degree perspective. My First love was pencil. Graphite has always been my go to for drawing, and art in general
Empowering the Next Generation
I believe that creativity is a skill that should be shared. When I’m not in the studio or at my easel, I’m in the classroom. As a music teacher, I have the privilege of introducing students—from kindergarten to middle school—to the joy of making noise. Whether we’re learning the basics on a recorder or diving into music theory, seeing a student find their "rhythm" is the most rewarding part of my work.
Let’s Work Together
I’m a firm believer that collaboration is the heartbeat of the creative world. Whether you need:
A Professional Soundtrack: From catchy jingles to full EP production.
Live Entertainment: Engaging performances for venues, events, or festivals.
Custom Art: Vibrant murals or portraits that make a statement.
Educational Support: Private lessons or school-wide music programs.
I’m ready to help you turn your ideas into something real. Let’s jam, let’s paint, and let’s turn up the fun.
